This is a large 130 KW propane generator for a multiple greenhouse off-grid system. This generator is capable of delivering 400 amps at 240 AC which enables these seven greenhouses to run at full load 24/7.

Installing new home utility power panels is one of our feature jobs that we like to do in Humboldt county. We’ve installed many 100 amp meter main panels and upgrades to 200 amps around the county. Many homes still have old fuse boxes and their panel may be rusted beyond safety requirements. it’s easy to spot panels that should be replaced and upgraded to prevent fire hazards and other unsafe conditions.

This was one of my more interesting jobs because it was an industrial design with all exposed metal conduit and electrical equipment. Most times all the electrical work is hidden and can’t be seen, but here, it was part of the design requiring all nice clean work and good pipe bending.

So much of our work on the North Coast of California near the Redwoods and the Pacific ocean is far more fun, because of the scenery. From my viewpoint the scenery makes the work seem like a vacation.

This 40×120 ft at 4,800 sq ft steel building was built for a variety of uses on this farm. It is powered with 200 amps of 240-volt single-phase power to provide all their power needs and lighting.
